"Colorful Creations: Acrylic Adventures"

Introducing children, grades 2nd-8th, to the world of acrylic painting while nurturing their artistic skills, creativity, and a passion for self-expression.

This program spans over four days of engaging activities. On Day 1, participants are familiarized with acrylic painting basics, brush handling, and color theory. Day 2 explores diverse painting techniques, color schemes, and the world of abstract art, leading to the creation of monochromatic and abstract canvas paintings. Day 3 delves into art history, covering elements of art, principles of design, and famous artists. Students experiment with non-traditional tools and learn the pointillism technique, creating their own pointillist canvas artwork. Finally, on Day 4, children add finishing touches to their works, and the program concludes with a celebratory art gallery display. The week ends with guided instruction for students to create their summer-themed canvas paintings, with choices like seascapes, sunsets, or ocean themes, determined by instructor-selected options, and subject to student voting.
